Understanding that skilled nursing facilities are increasingly in need of psychiatric services, I strive to meet the demands of today's long-term care and assisted living facilities. My goal is to help ease the burden facilities face managing psychiatric issues while being pressured to avoid antipsychotics and being scrutinized for appropriate use of all psychotropic medications. I work with the facility staff to ensure compliance with state guidelines while minimizing patient agitation, combativeness, violence, and improving patient outcomes.
